Terms of use

The service is supplied by YOUR BUSINESS NAME, YOUR BUSINESS POSTAL ADDRESS. Contact hello@example.co.uk for support, complaints and cancellation requests.
What this service does
GutNote is a personal diary for adults aged 18 and over. It helps you record and export information. It does not diagnose conditions, identify allergies, recommend treatment or provide emergency care. Follow advice from your clinician. Do not delay medical care based on diary records or reports.
Trial and lifetime purchase
Your 14-day trial starts when you verify your email. No payment card is required for the trial. At the end, adding and editing records requires a one-off purchase of £4.99. There is no recurring subscription. The displayed total is the amount charged. Existing entries can still be read, exported or deleted without purchasing.
Lifetime access means access for the operational lifetime of this service, not your natural lifetime. We do not promise perpetual hosting. If we plan to close the service, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to export records, except where an emergency or legal requirement prevents this.
Cancellation, refunds and problems
Your statutory consumer rights are not excluded. Contact us promptly if you change your mind or the service is faulty, unavailable or not as described. You can cancel within 14 days of purchase by emailing us for a full refund, even if you requested immediate access. This does not remove rights relating to faulty or misdescribed services after that period. We assess later cancellation and refund requests under applicable UK consumer law. A full refund or payment dispute may remove paid access, but your existing records remain exportable.
To cancel, email the support address above with “Cancel GutNote purchase”, your name, account email, purchase date and order reference. You can use this wording: “I give notice that I wish to cancel my GutNote lifetime-access purchase. Name: … Account email: … Order/date: …”
Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your credentials private and your contact email current. Only enter your own diary information. Do not attempt to access others’ records, disrupt the service, automate abusive registrations or exploit security weaknesses. Contact us privately about security concerns. We may suspend abusive accounts proportionately and will explain the reason where reasonably possible.
Availability and responsibility
We take reasonable care to operate and secure the service, but cannot guarantee continuous availability. Export important records periodically. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. We remain responsible where required by law.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without overriding mandatory protections or court rights available where you live in the UK. Material changes will be communicated before they apply.
